As a QA Test Engineer, you will play a key role in verifying and validating embedded software within a runtime assurance platform. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you’ll design and execute robust testing strategies, drive quality improvements, and support the delivery of safe, reliable systems across multiple hardware architectures and real-time operating systems.
Key Responsibilities of the QA Test Engineer
* Design and execute verification and validation strategies for embedded software systems
* Apply advanced testing techniques such as fuzz testing, constrained random testing, and automation-led validation
* Own the full QA lifecycle: test design, execution, automation, and CI/CD integration
* Manage defect tracking, reporting, and resolution in line with structured QA processes
* Collaborate with engineering teams to continuously improve quality and testing practices
Skills & Experience of the QA Test Engineer
* Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)
* 3+ years’ experience with Python in a commercial or research environment
* Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudBuild)
* Experience with Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing
* Strong understanding of Agile, CI, and test-driven development (TDD) principles
