You will contribute across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage development through to operations, by: Building and refining simulation models for key components such as wind turbines, plant controllers, and grid interfaces (HVAC/HVDC systems, FACTS devices where relevant) Carrying out power system assessments in PSS/E , including steady-state, fault, and dynamic performance studies Running detailed EMT simulations in PSCAD to analyse system behaviour under disturbances, switching events, and control interactions Handling OEM and vendor models , ensuring correct setup, validation, and ongoing management Producing structured, high-quality technical documentation suitable for both internal review and external compliance requirements Interpreting study results, identifying risks, and proposing practical engineering solutions Ensuring consistency with established engineering standards, methodologies, and QA processes
You must hold the below
Academic background in Electrical or Power Engineering , or equivalent practical experience Around 5+ years of hands-on PSCAD experience focused on EMT analysis Solid working knowledge of PSS/E for network and dynamic studies Experience dealing with third-party/OEM models , including parameterisation and validation Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (e.g. Python, MATLAB) to improve workflow efficiency…
