We are supporting a major public-sector programme seeking an experienced QA Engineer and a Senior QA Engineer with strong non-functional testing experience to join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex digital transformation work. This role is focused on automation-first quality engineering within modern CI/CD environments, with a particular emphasis on performance, accessibility, and non-functional assurance across large-scale cloud-based platforms.
Key Requirements Strong hands-on experience with: Java Selenium Cucumber Strong experience in non-functional testing, including: Performance testing Accessibility testing Security testing Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks Experience working within Agile, BDD, and TDD environments CI/CD pipeline experience Strong API and integration testing capability Comfortable working closely with developers within engineering-led teams
Nice to Have Experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar performance tools Experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure)
Essential BPSS Clearance Ability to attend site in Newcastle 2 days per week Public sector or government programme experience
