The Student Wellbeing Adviser plays a key part in creating a supportive, inclusive and empowering environment for students across Leeds Conservatoire and University Centre Leeds.
Youll work closely with the Health & Wellbeing team to monitor student progression, identify emerging support needs and provide onetoone guidance on wellbeing, mental health, academic challenges and navigating university life. The role blends individual casework, workshop delivery, communitybuilding activities and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Interviews for this role will be heldweek commencing 13 July 2026. With a potential start date September 2026, in time for the new academic year.
*Actual salary for 38 weeks per year commencing at 24,567 with progression 26,010 per annum.

What You Will Do
- Will work within the Health and Wellbeing team and in collaboration with staff across Leeds Conservatoire & University Centre Leeds to monitor student progression, identify emerging support needs, and contribute to strategies that enhance student success. The postholder
- Manage a caseload of students, providing regular onetoone support and delivering workshops focused on wellbeing, mental health, emotional issues, lifestyle, time management, academic challenges, and navigating conservatoire processes and regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of service delivery to ensure highquality, responsive support.
- Support the planning and delivery of student events and social activities that promote engagement, inclusion, and a strong sense of community.
- Recognise when specialist support is required and make appropriate internal or external referrals where necessary.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with external organisations and partner agencies to support student needs and wellbeing.
About You
- Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or relevant experience
- Strong communication skills, empathy and the confidence to work with students from a wide range of backgrounds, including those who are underrepresented in higher education.
- Comfortable managing a caseload, building trust, and offering practical and emotional support.
- Your approach will be flexible, studentcentred and grounded in equality, inclusion and safeguarding.
- Enjoy problemsolving, collaborating with colleagues, and using data and feedback to improve services.
