Job Title: Business Development Associate – Clinical Research Site Network


About the Role

We are a growing, multi-site clinical research network seeking a Budget & Contracts Associate to support study start-up activities across our sites. This role supports clinical trial budget development, contract coordination, and study financial set-up in collaboration with Clinical Operations, Finance, and Business Development teams.


Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and manage clinical trial budgets, including site cost templates and pass-through expenses – Support negotiation of budgets, payment schedules, and invoiceable milestones with Sponsors and CROs – Assist with review and tracking of Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), amendments, and budget exhibits – Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align budgets with staffing and operational requirements – Track contract and budget status to support site activation timelines – Maintain accurate records in CTMS and internal tracking tools – Support invoice set-up and payment tracking in collaboration with Finance – Identify discrepancies between executed budgets and contract language and escalate as needed


Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field – 1–3 years of experience in clinical research, site start-up, budgeting, or contracts (site-side experience preferred) – Familiarity with clinical trial budgets, CTAs, and payment milestones – Strong attention to detail and organizational skills – Ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously – Proficiency with Excel and CTMS systems
