An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Lawyer to join a global group at a key stage of growth and transformation.
With significant investment into innovation and new product development, alongside the rollout of a new business line, this role offers exposure to both an established operation and a scaling, high-growth area of the business.
The Role
A broad, commercially focused in-house position with high levels of visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a business partner to procurement, sales and marketing teams
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts (supply, procurement, distribution and customer agreements)
- Advising on marketing, brand and IP-related matters
- Supporting on a variety of day-to-day legal and commercial issues
The Business & Team
- Backed by a major international parent group with strong investment into UK operations
- A growing and evolving UK business with clear strategic direction
- A small, well-positioned legal function with strong influence across the organisation
- Reporting into a highly regarded General Counsel
Candidate Profile
- Qualified lawyer with strong at least 7 years commercial contracts experience (private practice or in-house) and experience in marketing or IP would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to operate as a trusted business partner
- Comfortable working across a broad and evolving remit
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
Package & Flexibility
- 12-month FTC (commencing June / July)
- Potential for longer-term opportunities
- Full-time or 4 days per week
- Hybrid working (in the West Midlands)
