Area Sales Engineer (Factory Automation) – North West UK £50,000 – £55,000 Basic
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through effective territory management
- Build and maintain a strong 12–24 month sales pipeline of automation and vision projects
- Deliver technical product demonstrations and application evaluations
- Lead commercial negotiations and close deals
- Provide technical support and integration guidance to customers
- Work closely with integrators, OEMs, and internal teams
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and market feedback
Requirements
- 3+ years’ technical sales experience in machine vision, factory automation or industrial imaging
- Proven ability to manage complex solution sales
- Strong communication skills with technical and commercial stakeholders
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or related field preferred
- Self-motivated, full UK driving licence, and willing to travel
