About the Company & Role

A specialist design-and-build construction business is looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support its next phase of growth. Working with a wide variety of leisure and commercial customers, the business delivers high-quality projects that combine creativity, design and practical delivery.

This is a newly focused growth role for someone who enjoys opening doors and creating opportunities rather than inheriting a large account base. The successful candidate will take ownership of generating new opportunities, building relationships and developing a strong project pipeline across sectors including leisure, visitor attractions, holiday parks, retail destinations and commercial environments.

This role would suit a true 360 sales professional who enjoys identifying prospects, converting enquiries and seeing projects through from first conversation to order stage.

Job Duties

  • Generate and win new business opportunities across leisure, visitor attraction, retail and commercial sectors
  • Build and manage a pipeline through outbound calls, networking, prospecting and relationship development
  • Identify target accounts and proactively approach key decision-makers
  • Convert incoming enquiries into qualified project opportunities
  • Develop relationships with buyers, project teams and stakeholders
  • Manage opportunities through longer consultative sales cycles
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial agreements and secure profitable business
  • Attend exhibitions, client meetings and networking events across the UK
  • Maintain CRM activity and pipeline reporting
  • Work closely with internal design and project teams to support successful project delivery
