Position Summary:
We are supporting a leading global pharma in finding a senior leader to head their European Supply Chain and Technical Operations department.
This role sits at the intersection of operational strategy and technical leadership, where you will hold full budget and operational ownership over the European supply chain. You will manage cross-functional teams to ensure the steady supply of existing commercial medicines while establishing robust infrastructure for upcoming regional product launches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership: Lead, manage, and coach the regional Supply Chain, Logistics, Technical, and Project Management teams.
- Supply Chain Strategy: Own the regional operational budget and design mid-to-long-term strategies to ensure infrastructure meets evolving business and product pipeline needs.
- Product Launches & Tech Transfer: Oversee timely technology transfers and establish robust supply chains for new product launches and territory expansions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain full compliance with EU GMP/GDP standards.
- Global Collaboration: Act as the European representative for international supply chain initiatives and coordinate with global manufacturing partners.
Requirements:
- Education: First-level university degree, ideally in a scientific or technical discipline.
- Experience: 10+ years of strong technical project and supply chain experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Dose Form Expertise: Deep knowledge of pharma manufacturing and supply chains covering both oral and sterile dosage forms.
- Vendor Management: Proven track record managing pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and packaging organizations (CMOs/CPOs) across Europe.
- Compliance Knowledge: Detailed understanding of EU GMP, GDP, Regulatory Affairs, and CMC requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Strong experience directing, planning, and managing large-scale projects while leading cross-functional or cross-cultural teams.
