Façade Engineer – Fire Compliance

The Role

As a Façade Consultant, you will play a key role within Ventro’s expanding façade engineering team, contributing directly to improving building safety across the UK. This role involves delivering high-quality façade assessments, providing expert fire safety advice, and supporting clients nationwide with compliance against evolving regulations.


You will work on a variety of complex and meaningful projects, conducting Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW), carrying out inspections, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders. Whether you are early in your career or an experienced professional, this role offers strong opportunities for development, specialisation, and progression.

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of key fire safety and façade standards including PAS 9980, BS 8414, BR135, BS 8579, BS EN 13501-1, Approved Document B, BS 9999, and BS 9991
  • Understanding of UK fire safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Relevant qualifications such as:
  • MIFSM (Level 2 or above)
  • CFPA Diploma (or equivalent Fire Safety qualification)
  • TIFireE
  • NEBOSH (basic level standard)


Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within UK fire safety legislation
  • Proven background in fire safety and façade engineering
  • Experience delivering FRAEW assessments in line with PAS 9980:2022
  • Experience conducting site inspections, technical assessments, and design reviews
  • Degree in façade engineering, fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline (desirable)
