Commercial Manager – Facilities Management (Government Sector)

Location: UK (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of a major Facilities Management contract within the Government sector. This is a key role within the ISS UK Commercial function, responsible for protecting and driving commercial value across the full contract lifecycle.

This position requires a strong commercially minded individual who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working closely with operational, finance, and client stakeholders to ensure strong governance, sustainable margin performance, and effective contract management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the end-to-end management of contract variations, including identification, pricing, submission, negotiation, and recovery
  • Acting as the primary commercial interface with the client for all contractual matters, negotiations, and dispute resolution
  • Driving margin improvement, cost control, and long-term commercial sustainability of the contract
  • Managing commercial risk, governance, compliance, and contractual obligations throughout the lifecycle of the contract
  • Overseeing WIP, forecasting, and financial performance in partnership with Finance Business Partners
  • Supporting operational teams with commercial guidance to ensure accurate pricing and cost recovery on billable works
  • Translating commercial strategy into operational delivery outcomes
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and mitigating risks proactively
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across client, operations, finance, and supply chain

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial role within Facilities Management
  • Strong understanding of Government contracts, ideally including CCS and NEC frameworks
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing margin, risk, and pricing models
  • Demonstrable experience in contract variation management and commercial negotiation
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience at senior level
  • Ability to analyse complex commercial data and translate into clear business decisions
  • Strong understanding of contract, risk, and change management principles
  • Proactive, driven approach with the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global organisation where you will play a key role in shaping commercial performance on a high-profile government contract, with further opportunity to support a wider portfolio following initial contract stabilisation.

If you are looking for a role where you can make a real commercial impact and work closely with senior stakeholders in a complex, high-value environment, we would be keen to speak with you
