Procurement Manager – Engineering, Manufacturing & Renewable Energy

Up to £75,000 base salary + up to 30% bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector. This is a strategic, commercially focused role supporting large-scale operational and capital projects across a complex international business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive procurement best practice across a diverse portfolio of spend categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing and tendering activity across multiple procurement categories
- Develop and implement commercial sourcing strategies that maximise value, governance, and risk management
- Manage supplier negotiations, contract award processes, and ongoing supplier performance
- Deliver cost savings and wider commercial benefits aligned to business objectives
- Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and procurement planning
- Ensure procurement processes, compliance, and governance standards are consistently maintained
- Support sustainability objectives by incorporating environmental, social, and economic considerations into procurement decisions
- Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives and continuous improvement across systems and processes
- Mentor and support procurement colleagues to build capability and high performance across the wider team
Experience Required
- Strong background in strategic procurement and category management within engineering, industrial, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, or energy environments
- Experience across categories such as industrial services, engineering services/equipment, MRO, consumables, CAPEX projects, or technical supply agreements
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels
- Proven ability to manage complex supplier relationships and deliver commercial value
- Strong communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across geographically dispersed teams
- Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
- MCIPS, Project Management, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
