Job Description:

This is a transformation role. This is NOT a maintenance role.

Oliver Sanderson is partnering with a leading construction business to appoint an exceptional Asset Director – a newly created national leadership role with the opportunity to reshape how a major business invests in, manages and commercialises its asset portfolio.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Commercial strategy
  • Operational performance
  • Capital investment
  • Asset optimisation
  • Innovation
  • ROI

You will take ownership of the full asset lifecycle – from investment and acquisition through to utilisation, performance, divestment and disposal.

The brief is clear:

  • Improve return
  • Drive smarter capital decisions
  • Optimise the portfolio
  • Standardise where it matters
  • Innovate where it counts
  • Create measurable commercial impact

We are looking for a commercially sharp, data-led senior leader from an asset-intensive environment, such as construction, manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, logistics, fleet or a related sector.

You will bring strong financial acumen, strategic influence and the ability to work across Commercial, Finance, Operations and Procurement to deliver real business value.

This is a standout opportunity for someone who wants more than a title.

It is for someone who wants to build, shape and lead a critical function at national scale.

Location: National / UK wide

Working pattern: Hybrid, with travel to various UK sites a few days per month.

Package: Highly competitive

If you are ready to turn assets into advantage, we would be delighted to hear from you.
