The Role

  • Provide clear, confident and legally robust advice, identifying and mitigating employment law risks while balancing commercial outcomes
  • Own ER case strategy, including decision‑making around escalation, dismissal risk, and alternative outcomes
  • Lead redundancy consultations, including scoping, pooling, selection criteria, and managing challenge from employees
  • Navigate sensitive and complex cases involving overlapping risks (e.g. performance, health conditions, discrimination concerns)
  • Prepare high‑quality documentation including outcome letters, policies, contracts and case reports to a consistently strong standard
  • Embed yourself within client organisations where required, building credibility and long‑term relationships
  • Support wider HR activity including performance management, organisational change, talent and engagement initiatives
  • Contribute to business development activity, proposals and client presentations
  • Deliver training to clients on ER, employment law updates and best practice

About You

  • Proven HR generalist experience within a consultancy or highly client‑facing HRBP environment
  • Demonstrable track record of independently managing complex and high‑risk ER casework, with clear ownership of outcomes
  • Strong and up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law, with the confidence to apply this in practice and articulate risk clearly
  • Able to provide legally sound, commercially pragmatic advice without over‑reliance on escalation
  • Experience leading redundancy programmes and consultations, with a clear understanding of your personal remit and decision‑making responsibility
  • Comfortable managing a varied caseload, including multiple concurrent ER matters of varying complexity
  • Strong judgement and the ability to navigate ambiguity, particularly in sensitive or high‑risk scenarios
  • Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence stakeholders and manage pushback effectively
  • Highly organised, resilient, and adaptable in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment
  • Fully CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)

Why Apply?

  • Opportunity to join a growing and ambitious HR consultancy
  • High level of autonomy, trust and client exposure
  • Varied and intellectually challenging casework
  • Clear opportunity for progression as the business scales
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment
  • Hybrid working with meaningful client interaction
