Service Manager

£40,000 – £50,000 + Benefits
We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join a growing technical services business delivering building services and HVAC solutions across a diverse client portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong operational and people management experience within FM, HVAC or building services who enjoys leading teams, improving performance and building strong client relationships.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of planned and reactive maintenance contracts, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with service level agreements.
You’ll lead a team of engineers and coordinators while acting as a key operational contact for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the delivery of PPM and reactive maintenance works
- Scheduling engineers and overseeing resource planning
- Monitoring KPIs, SLAs and contract performance
- Managing CAFM systems and job workflows
- Supporting invoicing, WIP management and quotations
- Overseeing subcontractor performance
- Maintaining strong client relationships and resolving issues
- Driving team performance, development and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and statutory requirements
- Reviewing RAMS and operational compliance processes
About You
- Previous experience managing FM, HVAC or building services contracts
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience using CAFM systems
- Commercial awareness and understanding of service delivery performance
- Good understanding of UK health & safety compliance
- Organised, proactive and client-focused approach
