Health & Safety Manager – £45,000 – £60,000 – Widmore, BR1

Are you an experienced construction Health & Safety professional ready to lead across live projects? Do you have strong knowledge of CDM 2015, RAMS and site compliance?

Ammcass CE Group is a growing Principal Contractor delivering construction and engineering projects across the UK.

The role

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop the company-wide H&S function across multiple live construction projects.

This is a senior role with real influence. You will manage safety strategy, site standards, fire safety, compliance systems and day-to-day operational support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Health & Safety across multiple construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, including CDM 2015.
  • Develop and maintain H&S policies and procedures.
  • Lead on RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, site mobilisation and toolbox talks.
  • Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
  • Support Site Managers and operational teams with safe delivery.
  • Manage incident investigations, reporting and H&S documentation.
  • Oversee traffic management, logistics and emergency planning.
  • Act as Fire Safety Lead, including fire risk assessments and hot works controls.
  • Maintain the Operations Manual and compliance systems.

The person

You will need:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of UK construction H&S legislation.
  • Experience with a Principal Contractor.
  • Proven experience managing H&S across live construction projects.
  • Excellent understanding of CDM 2015, RAMS, CPPs, audits and compliance systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • CMIOSH status, ISO 45001 experience, a Fire Safety qualification, or experience across commercial and residential projects would be useful.
