Deputy Nursery Manager – Permanent Role

Location: Haringey

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Education World is recruiting on behalf of a warm, nurturing, and well-established nursery for an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to join their leadership team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is committed to delivering outstanding childcare and supporting the day-to-day running of a busy nursery setting.

The Role

The successful candidate will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of the nursery
  • Supporting, mentoring, and supervising nursery staff
  • Ensuring compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Supporting staff development, training, and performance management
  • Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Leading by example in delivering outstanding childcare and education
  • Assisting with occupancy, administration, and operational procedures
  • Acting as Manager in the absence of the Nursery Manager

The Ideal Candidate

The nursery is seeking a candidate who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
  • Has previous experience in a senior nursery role or leadership position
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
  • Has excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Is passionate about providing high-quality childcare and early education
  • Can motivate and inspire a team effectively
  • Is committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for children and staff
