Supervisor (Traffic Management)

Location: Almondsbury, BS32 4AG

Permanent, Full Time

Key responsibilities

  • Lead day to day technology works, ensuring safe and efficient delivery across all activities
  • Take ownership of Traffic Management planning, coordination and implementation
  • Support routine maintenance, winter services and emergency response operations
  • Guide operational teams and subcontractors, setting clear expectations on quality and productivity
  • Monitor performance and provide clear updates on costs, value and progress
  • Build a strong team culture, encouraging collaboration, engagement and shared success
  • Work closely with plant and fleet colleagues to maximise equipment efficiency and care
  • Identify development needs and support training plans for team members
  • Use digital tools and systems to support effective service delivery and reporting
  • Promote high standards in safety, compliance, environmental care and quality

Essential skills and requirements

  • Confident leader who enjoys supporting and developing others
  • Strong understanding of operational delivery and site based activities
  • Knowledge of Traffic Management processes and best practice
  • Clear communicator who can build relationships with teams and stakeholders
  • Organised approach with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable using digital systems and basic programmes such as Word or Excel
  • Focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement in all tasks
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including supporting emergency response when needed
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a wider team environment
  • Willingness to travel between sites and complete site visits as required
