Freelance Senior Technical Designer (AutoCAD)

A high-end hospitality design studio is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Technical Designer to support the delivery of a large-scale commercial project. The role is suited to a highly organised and detail-oriented technical designer with strong AutoCAD expertise and experience delivering comprehensive drawing packages within luxury hospitality or commercial interiors.

Working closely with the interior design and project teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawing packs and elevations to support project delivery from design development through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawing packages in AutoCAD for large-scale commercial hospitality projects
• Develop and coordinate technical drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and joinery details
• Ensure drawing packages are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project standards and timelines
• Collaborate with interior designers, architects, consultants, and suppliers to resolve technical design challenges
• Maintain drawing revisions, documentation, and technical specifications throughout project stages
• Support construction and site coordination queries where required
• Contribute to the technical development of bespoke design elements and high-end finishes

Desired Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Senior Technical Designer or Technical Interior Designer within hospitality or luxury commercial interiors
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
• Strong understanding of construction detailing, interior architecture, and technical coordination
• Experience producing high-quality drawing packs for complex commercial projects
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines within a fast-paced studio environment
• Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail

Desirable

• FF&E drawing and documentation experience
• Experience coordinating bespoke furniture or joinery packages
• Familiarity with luxury hospitality standards and workflows
