The Role

The firm is seeking an Associate to join its Non-Contentious Construction team within the Real Estate department. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters including drafting and negotiating building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, and performance security. You will also advise on projects impacted by the Building Safety Act, as well as due diligence on complex property and corporate transactions.

What They’re Looking For

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 2-4 years’ PQE
  • Strong experience in non-contentious construction matters
  • Familiarity with JCT and NEC standard form contracts; FIDIC experience an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and associated compliance obligations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently
  • A commercial mindset with a collaborative approach
