We are working with a forward-thinking, all-through Academy Trust in North London who are currently recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their schools in September.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be supporting pupils working at all levels including children with Special Educational Needs within a class or across a year group.
Your role will include:
- Providing support to individual students and groups within the class ensuring pupils understand the work set, know their learning objectives and stay on task in order to make progress.
- Leading small groups in English, Maths, phonics and reading
- Working with students with SEN and additional learning needs
- Supporting the preparation of classes including resources and equipment
- Assisting with assessments/observations where required
- Assisting with extra-curricular events and initiatives
- Providing support during break and lunchtimes as required
To apply for this role you must have:
- A Bachelors degree
- A minimum of Grade C/4 in GCSE English and GCSE Maths
- An interest in pursuing a career in education
- Strong verbal and written English
- Excellent communication skill
- A calm and approachable manner

All Graduate Teaching Assistant roles are offered on an academic year contract from September 2026 to July 2027. There will be opportunities after this contract for outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistants to continue with the school in to the following academic year to complete their initial teacher training via the paid SCITT programme.
