Job Description:

Job Title: Compliance Manager – Solar

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 depending on experience

Location: Hybrid | 3 days in London HQ or regional offices

Why this role

If you’re the person who spots the missing document before it becomes a problem, knows how to keep accreditations moving, and enjoys bringing order to fast-growth environments, this Compliance Manager role offers real influence.

You will join a rapidly scaling renewable energy group helping accelerate the UK’s transition to smart solar energy. As the business grows through acquisition and integration, your work will protect its licence to operate, strengthen its audit readiness, and create consistency across multiple solar installation businesses.

What you’ll do

This is a documentation, accreditation and regulatory management role, not a field-based site inspection role. You will own the relationship with bodies such as MCS, NAPIT and HIES, managing applications, renewals, audit preparation, variations, appeals and corrective action responses.

You will maintain the group’s compliance document library, including policies, procedures, RAMS templates, continuous improvement logs and audit-ready evidence packs. When standards change, you will help turn technical and field-based findings into clear, defensible documentation that stands up to external scrutiny.

About the company

You will be joining a UK-based renewable energy business at an exciting stage of growth. The group is bringing together high-quality regional solar installers into one digitally enabled platform, combining local delivery with stronger central systems, standards and support.

It is a practical, ambitious environment where compliance is not treated as a back-office task. Your work will directly support safe delivery, customer trust, accreditation security and long-term growth.

About you

You may already be working in compliance, quality assurance or regulatory affairs within construction, electrical services, solar PV, battery storage or another technical environment. You will bring strong knowledge of MCS and/or NAPIT frameworks, excellent written communication, and the confidence to deal with assessors, auditors and internal teams.

You will be highly organised, calm under pressure and comfortable tracking multiple deadlines across several entities. Experience with H&S administration, RIDDOR, risk assessments, RAMS, NEBOSH, IOSH or document management systems would be valuable, but your attention to detail and ownership mindset matter most.

Rewards & growth

This is a chance to shape the compliance function inside a growing clean energy business. You will work closely with senior leadership, local teams and quality colleagues, creating the systems that help the group scale safely, consistently and credibly.

How to apply

If you are ready to take ownership of compliance documentation, accreditation management and audit readiness in a growing renewable energy group, we would love to hear from you.
