Job Description:

Hawksworth are looking for a Contract Senior Credit Risk Rating Analyst for a huge international financial client. You will join a Financial Risk Management department working closely with a global team. Day rate inside IR35, to be negotiated with the successful candidate. Mainly remote with occasional travel into the office in London for meetings.

  • Senior Credit Risk Rating Analyst – UK Mortgages
  • London / Potters Bar / Bristol which ever is closer (predominantly remote/ onsite when needed for meetings etc.)
  • 12-month initial contract (Hopefully will get extended)
  • Inside IR35 – Day rate negotiable

This is an excellent opportunity for a credit risk professional with strong fixed income and commercial mortgage experience to work within a highly respected international financial services organisation.

The role will focus on:

• Reviewing and validating credit risk ratings across commercial mortgage portfolios

• Assessing corporate and securitised bond investments

• Producing detailed credit analysis and risk reviews

• Supporting investment and risk committees with insightful recommendations

• Contributing to risk modelling framework enhancements and wider portfolio oversight

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have:

✔ 3–5+ years’ experience within credit analysis, risk ratings or investment research

✔ Experience gained within insurance, banking, asset management or a recognised ratings agency

✔ Strong commercial mortgage and/or fixed income credit experience

✔ Excellent analytical and report writing skills

✔ Advanced Excel capability

✔ CFA qualification (preferred but not essential)

This is a hybrid role with mainly remote working, alongside occasional travel to the London or Potters Bar office for meetings (typically around once per month).
