Senior / Principal Associate – Restructuring & Insolvency (4–8 PQE)

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Restructuring & Insolvency Associate (4–8 PQE) to join its highly regarded non-contentious team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a close-knit, collaborative practice advising a broad range of stakeholders on complex restructuring and insolvency matters, with strong partner exposure and clear long-term progression prospects.
The Role
You will play a key role advising creditors, lenders, insolvency practitioners, and corporates on a wide spectrum of non-contentious restructuring and insolvency matters, including:
- Administrations, liquidations, and pre-pack transactions
- Debt restructuring and contingency planning
- Security reviews and enforcement strategies
- Distressed lending and banking-related matters
- Standstill agreements, waivers, reservations of rights, and defaults
- Refinancing and fundraising in distressed scenarios
- Directors’ duties in distressed situations
- Asset disposals by insolvency officeholders
- Anti-avoidance issues (e.g. preferences, transactions at undervalue)
You will work closely with partners and be involved in high-quality advisory and transactional work across a diverse client base.
About You
- England & Wales qualified solicitor with 4–8 years’ PQE
- Strong experience in non-contentious restructuring & insolvency
- Background advising lenders, creditors, insolvency practitioners, and corporates
- Solid technical knowledge of insolvency law, security, and banking documentation
- Experience with insolvency processes and distressed finance documentation
- Commercially minded with strong client communication skills
- Interest in business development; existing market connections are a plus
