Overview

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction team delivering a mix of residential and commercial projects across London. This role offers exposure to high-quality developments and the opportunity to develop strong commercial and contractual experience within a fast-paced environment.

You will support the commercial team in managing project costs, subcontractor packages, and financial reporting from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the commercial management of residential and commercial projects
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
• Carry out measurement and quantity take-offs from drawings
• Assist with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
• Manage interim valuations, variations, and payment applications
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets
• Support contract administration (JCT/NEC)
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Assist with final account preparation and agreement

Requirements

Essential

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• 2–5 years’ experience in construction (residential, commercial, or fit-out)
• Strong understanding of construction methods and cost control
• Working knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication and organisational ability

Desirable

• Main contractor or developer experience
• Exposure to mixed-use or residential developments
• Progressing towards MRICS accreditation
