We are currently supporting a highly curated, design-led property developer / interiors business on the urgent appointment of a Mid-to-Senior Interior Designer to support the delivery of a live luxury residential project in London.
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone looking to step outside of a traditional studio environment and gain direct exposure to the client / developer side of high-end residential delivery.
The business operates across beautifully detailed private residential projects and combines design, development and delivery in-house within a small but exceptionally high-performing team.
They now need someone who can step in quickly and take ownership across a live private residence for an UHNW client.
The initial phase of the role will involve a significant FF&E and presentation push through the summer months, before transitioning more heavily into procurement, coordination and installation support as the project progresses.
Importantly, this role sits much closer to real-world project delivery than a traditional studio design position.
They need someone who is not only creatively strong, but also commercially aware, highly organised and confident taking ownership across both the design and procurement lifecycle.
The right person will enjoy being close to the client, involved in decision-making and helping drive a project through from design intent into physical delivery and installation.
What they are looking for…
- Mid-to-Senior Interior Designer level
- Strong FF&E and procurement experience
- Excellent InDesign capability and ability to prepare polished client-facing presentations
- Confident presenting ideas and materials directly to clients
- Strong coordination and organisational skills
- Experience working across high-end residential (and/or hospitality) interiors
- Someone calm, proactive and solutions-focused
- Comfortable operating within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
- Able to contribute quickly with minimal hand-holding
This opportunity would particularly suit someone who:
- Wants more direct ownership and influence over projects
- Feels frustrated being too removed from delivery or decision-making within a larger studio
- Wants exposure to the developer/client side of the industry
- Enjoys working within smaller, highly collaborative teams
- Is excited by seeing projects through beyond concept stage
- Is immediately available or able to start at very short notice (1 week)
Details…
- Immediate / ASAP start preferred
- Initial contract / FTC engagement
- Strong pipeline of work anticipated across the next c.6 months
- Day rate in the region of £270 to £300 depending on experience and alignment
- High-end residential projects across Central / West London
- Hybrid working arrangement
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly design-conscious business at project level and gain the kind of direct client and delivery exposure that many designers do not typically experience within a traditional interiors / design studio setup.
To be considered, please apply directly to the advert and respond to the key screening questions listed within the application.
Given the urgency of the requirement, we will be reviewing applications immediately and contacting those who appear most closely aligned as quickly as possible.
