Commercial Analyst – Defence Sector

London

£40,000–£60,000

Move into consulting, sharpen your strategic thinking and develop expertise across complex procurement projects.

With structured development and exposure to defense, infrastructure and major public sector programmes, you’ll build skills that open doors across multiple industries.

You can plan your week around life, not work, with a hybrid setup that gives you three days at home. You’ll also get a generous pension, private healthcare, and the chance to earn an annual performance-based bonus.

There’s a clear path to progress, with mentoring, professional development support and opportunities to move into advisory or leadership roles. You’ll learn from experts, contribute to major decisions and build a name for yourself in high-stakes commercial work.

And you’ll be part of a team that’s serious about well-being, with support for your physical, emotional, social and financial health.

What you’ll do

Take the lead on major procurement projects, working with buyers and prime suppliers on high-value categories like digital services, infrastructure and professional services. You’ll shape strategies, negotiate deals and drive value for clients.

Design and run major procurements, helping clients understand their needs and create commercial strategies that deliver results. You’ll manage supplier engagement, evaluate tenders and support negotiations that secure the best market outcomes.

Advise on transitioning from legacy to new frameworks, ensuring smooth contract management and business change. You’ll also review and improve client commercial functions, leading restructuring and capability-building programmes.

Provide expert support on contract renegotiations and dispute resolution, and deliver effective commercial management on large, complex assignments with collaborative teams.

What you’ll need

  • SC Security Clearance
  • Experience working in the Government or defense sector
  • Familiarity using NEC contract forms would be an advantage.
  • Ideally possessing MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status.

About the company

You’ll join a consultancy that works across defense, major projects, infrastructure, transport and the public sector. The team has a strong track record of delivering value for clients and is expanding across the UK, giving you access to a wide range of high-profile, career-building projects.
