MADE Careers is exclusively partnering with a globally recognised, design led architecture studio to appoint a Global Director of Architecture within its London team.

With an established international reputation across large scale urban, masterplanning and architectural projects, the studio is entering a significant new phase of growth and evolution. This is an opportunity for an ambitious Associate Director ready to step into a broader leadership role, or an established Director looking for a more visible and internationally connected platform.

The practice is looking for someone with presence, perspective and the ability to lead conversations as confidently as projects. A designer with a strong point of view, commercial awareness and the ability to engage clients, teams and collaborators in a meaningful way.

The Role

A senior, outward facing position within a globally active design group, operating across London and international markets.

This role extends far beyond project delivery. You will lead complex architectural work, build and strengthen client relationships, contribute to winning new projects and help shape how architecture is positioned and developed across the wider business.

The studio is particularly interested in individuals who bring a thoughtful and distinctive approach to design, alongside the confidence to operate at a senior level across both creative and commercial conversations.

Requirements

  • Operating at Director level, or ready to step up from Associate Director
  • Proven experience delivering complex, large scale or international projects
  • Strong design sensibility with the confidence to lead presentations, conversations and client relationships
  • Commercially aware, with experience supporting work winning and strategic growth
  • A clear individual perspective, with an inquisitive and non formulaic approach to architecture
  • Comfortable operating internationally, with the ability to engage across cultures, markets and sectors
  • Experience across workplace, hospitality, education, mixed-use or internationally focused projects

Benefits

  • Clear progression toward Principal level
  • Join a globally recognised, design led architecture studio
  • Work across London and international markets
  • Influence projects, teams and strategic direction within a senior design group
  • Competitive salary and package aligned to experience

Why This Role

This is a rare opportunity to step into a broader and more influential leadership position within a globally respected practice at a defining moment in its evolution.

The role will suit someone who combines strong architectural thinking with personality, presence and the ability to tell compelling stories through both design and client engagement.
