Are you a senior business travel professional ready to build something from the ground up?

This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected global organisation as they embark on an ambitious project to create their own in-house business travel function. We’re looking for a commercially minded, strategic leader with deep expertise across travel management companies, business travel operations, supplier partnerships and travel technology.

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the organisation’s travel programme — from initial feasibility through to full implementation.

The Opportunity

Phase 1 – Feasibility & Strategic Planning (Approx. 3 Months)

You’ll lead the discovery and planning phase, developing the commercial and operational foundations for the proposed in-house travel model, including:

  • Building the business case and P&L
  • Forecasting and commercial analysis
  • Designing organisational structures
  • Creating the product and technology roadmap
  • Project planning and implementation strategy
  • Evaluating operational and supplier models

Phase 2 – Build & Implementation (Approx. 3+ Months)

Following approval of the feasibility study, you’ll take the lead on bringing the vision to life by:

  • Building an in-house Travel Management Company from the ground up
  • Leading supplier RFP and contract negotiations
  • Hiring and structuring key teams
  • Designing scalable business processes and SOPs
  • Driving operational setup and delivery
  • Managing implementation across technology, suppliers and operations

About You

You’ll be a strategic, commercially astute travel leader with:

  • Extensive experience within business travel and TMC environments
  • Strong understanding of travel operations, supplier agreements and travel technology
  • Proven project leadership and change management experience
  • Excellent commercial modelling and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced consultant or senior travel leader looking to deliver a high-impact transformation project within a global organisation.
