Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Supervising Social Worker located in the Harrow area, United Kingdom. In this position, the Supervising Social Worker will provide direct support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to deliver high-quality care.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, preparing reports, managing a caseload of foster families, and facilitating effective communication between carers and Local Authorities. The role also involves attending meetings, providing training, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in assessment, case management, and report writing
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding, fostering standards, and social work practices
  • Proficiency in communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to guide, mentor, and support foster carers and children
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A recognised social work qualification and active HCPC registration
  • Previous experience working within the fostering sector or with children and families is highly desirable
  • Commitment to delivering the highest standards of care and supporting children’s development
