Procurement Specialist – HR & Professional Services | Renewable Energy Industry

Flexible UK Location | London, Manchester or Suffolk (2-4 days per month onsite)

Very Remote Working

Up to £60,000 base salary + up to 20% bonus

An excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Procurement Specialist to join a leading organisation operating within the renewable energy industry.

This role will focus on HR and Professional Services categories, supporting strategic sourcing activity across a complex international business. You will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver value-driven procurement solutions, manage supplier relationships, and support wider procurement transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end sourcing and tendering activity across HR and Professional Services categories
  • Develop and implement commercial sourcing strategies that maximise value while ensuring appropriate governance and risk management
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance activities
  • Deliver cost savings and wider commercial benefits aligned to business objectives
  • Ensure procurement processes and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) procedures are effectively followed
  • Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to support budgeting, spend management, and forecasting
  • Support sustainability and responsible sourcing objectives within the supply chain
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks, opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across multiple business areas

Experience Required

  • Strong procurement experience across HR, Professional Services, or indirect spend categories
  • Background within renewable energy, engineering, manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, or similar industries preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders to drive procurement best practice and value creation
  • Experience managing tender processes, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies
  • Proactive, resilient, and solutions-oriented mindset
  • MCIPS, Project Management qualification, or working towards professional accreditation preferred
