Assistant Quantity Surveyor

I’m working exclusively with a growing main contractor with a turnover of around £10m, who are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager as part of their next phase of growth, offices are based in Cambridge.

The business delivers a mix of refurbishment and new build projects, with a strong pipeline of repeat work and long-standing client relationships.

It is a great opportunity for a driven Assistant QS who is looking for the next step in their career, they will gain a good level of autonomy on their work which will help develop their skills and push career growth.

The Role

• Take ownership of the commercial function across multiple projects
• Manage costs from pre-construction through to final account
• Oversee subcontract procurement and package management
• Lead on valuations, variations and cost reporting
• Work closely with Directors and operational teams
• Support the continued growth and structure of the commercial team
