What you will be doing
As Associate Director – Student Support & Careers, you will provide strategic leadership across student wellbeing, safeguarding, engagement, careers and employability services.
Responsibilities
- Lead high‑quality, student‑centred support and careers services.
- Act as the University’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Lead strategic and operational service improvement initiatives.
- Build effective internal and external partnerships.
- Provide leadership across a range of professional service teams.
Qualifications / Experience
You will bring:
- Significant senior‑level experience within student support, wellbeing, safeguarding, careers or related services in higher education or a similar complex environment.
- Strong leadership, influencing and change management skills.
- Understanding of the UK higher education landscape and student experience.
- Experience of leading teams and delivering service improvement.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) is essential. DSL safeguarding certification, or willingness to obtain this, is also required.
