Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage complete manufacturing process flows from raw material through to finished components.
  • Develop, create, and optimise CNC programs using CAM software (Mastercam highly preferred).
  • Support machining activities both offline and directly on the machine for prove‑outs, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
  • Produce detailed routings, setup documentation, and clear manufacturing instructions.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and help transition new components into production.
  • Drive continuous improvements in machining efficiency, cycle times, tooling performance, and process stability.
  • Work closely with machinists, quality teams, and operations to support production requirements.
  • Assist with tooling, fixturing, and equipment selection for complex machining applications.

What They’re Looking For

  • Strong CNC machining knowledge with progression from machinist, programmer, or manufacturing engineer backgrounds highly desirable.
  • Proven CAM programming experience, ideally using Mastercam.
  • Experience working with 3‑axis, 4‑axis, and 5‑axis machining centres.
  • Comfortable machining medium to large structural components (approximately 1m‑5m).
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred, or experience within another high‑precision / high‑integrity manufacturing environment.
  • Experience machining aluminium alloys; exposure to titanium or nickel alloys would be advantageous.
  • Full Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with machine tools such as DMG, Hüller Hille, MCM, SMK, or similar platforms.
