Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Full time: Contracted to 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

Overview
The Maintenance Manager leads a team to oversee the upkeep, repair, and efficiency of the company’s buildings and equipment, focusing on preventing breakdowns through strategies such as preventative maintenance, managing budgets, and ensuring safety compliance while optimising operational performance to support overall company goals.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, improve processes, and optimise performance; report KPIs, departmental focus, and potential risks monthly to the board and SMT.
- Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and motivate maintenance staff; structure the department to support key operational functions.
- Develop, implement maintenance strategies, design procedures, and oversee repair, upkeep, and installation tasks.
- Interact daily with site departments to drive performance, quality and efficiency through operational continuous improvements.
- Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure maximum efficiency of equipment while maintaining facility standards.
- Manage and improve budgets and costs while maintaining performance.
- Manage and control performance, quality, budgets, and safety of external contractors.
- Support and mentor staff on equipment failure or upgrades.
- Provide, schedule, and manage the necessary resources to react to out‑of‑hours breakdowns and reduce operational downtime.
Essential Skills
- Technical proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems; a strategic thinker with strong time‑management and organisational skills.
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify the root cause of equipment failure and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Leadership and people skills – ability to motivate a diverse team and build professional relationships.
- Experience working with design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD.
- Administrative skills – competency in budgeting, procurement, and reporting and scheduling software.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
