About the role
Orion Group is supporting a successful and long established construction client to source a Pre-Construction Project Manager to add to their North East Scotland based team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor, providing the necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project.
- Help develop the project’s main logic of works programme, ensuring that no work commences on site until health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place.
- Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
- Provide leadership and support to all employees.
- Manage labour and maintain high productivity.
- Expedite materials and information release from the design team.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Procedure and Manual.
- Manage all sub‑contractors and supply chain effectively.
- Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag‑free building.
Qualifications
- Qualified to Degree level in Construction or Civil Engineering or have a trade background within construction.
- Demonstrable leadership and management experience within the construction industry or housebuilding sector.
- Ability to supervise projects from inception to completion, while exemplifying a commitment to Health & Safety and ensuring quality and best practice.
