WordPress Developer – Lincolnshire (Hybrid)

£35,000-£40,000

We are working with an award‑winning digital agency to recruit a talented WordPress Developer to join their growing technical team in Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of digital projects, including large‑scale WordPress websites, bespoke Laravel platforms and innovative AI‑driven solutions. You’ll work closely with designers, developers and digital strategists to build scalable, high‑performing websites and digital experiences for a broad client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and support modern WordPress websites
  • Build custom WordPress themes and bespoke functionality
  • Integrate and manage third‑party APIs and services
  • Contribute to AI‑powered features, automation tools and internal platforms
  • Collaborate with designers to deliver responsive, pixel‑perfect front‑end experiences
  • Write clean, modular and well‑documented code
  • Support ongoing improvements, maintenance and optimisation across projects
  • Contribute to technical decisions and development best practices

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in WordPress development
  • Strong experience with custom WordPress themes, ACF, Gutenberg and bespoke functionality development
  • Experience with PHP/Laravel or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and integrations
  • JavaScript experience, ideally with Vue.js or Alpine.js
  • Experience using Git and modern deployment workflows
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with AI integrations and automation tools
  • Knowledge of search technologies such as Algolia or Meilisearch
  • Understanding of headless CMS architectures
  • WooCommerce or ecommerce integration experience
  • Familiarity with Tailwind, Vite or Docker
