Job Title: Paediatric ENT Fellow
Start Date: 5th August 2026
Contract Type: Fixed term
Duration: 12 months
Purpose for Fixed Term: Training Contract
This post is appointed on a fixed‑term basis for the primary purpose of providing structured training and supervised clinical development. While the postholder will contribute to service delivery, the overarching purpose is to provide defined educational opportunities, supervised clinical practice, and experience aligned to the relevant specialty training curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in at least 4 paediatric operating lists and at least 3 OPD sessions under the supervision of consultants.
- Attend airway clinics and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) related to tracheostomy/airway, complex swallow, and voice.
- Oversee daily management of inpatient and emergency situations, including NICU/PICU, and take part in ward‑week cover rota.
- Participate in audit, risk, and governance activities as part of the multidisciplinary educational programme.
- Support and train registrars, SHOs, GPs, FY2, FY1, and medical students.
Qualifications
- Educational framework equivalent to training‑grade doctors.
- Named educational supervisor assigned at the start of the post.
- Ability to meet UK Home Office Skilled Worker sponsorship criteria (applicant must confirm eligibility).
- Strong commitment to continuing professional development (CPD). Study leave available.
