Job Description:

You’ll provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of Agriculture clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. You will have both external and internal stakeholders, internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams. Responsibilities

  • Conduct face to face meetings with Agriculture customers, with up to 80 clients in portfolio
  • Provide outstanding customer service to these clients
  • Drive revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs‑based approach which engages clients and increases new business
  • Grow the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand the portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC’s extensive network
  • Learn about the customer’s business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes
  • Conduct pro‑active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews
  • Manage financial crime risk by identifying, assessing, accepting, monitoring and mitigating risk while adhering to HSBC’s operational risk standards and policies
  • Provide support across Derbyshire and the surrounding area; travel will be expected

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in Commercial Banking or a similar entity
  • Agricultural sector knowledge would be advantageous
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial credit and lending
  • Experience of building effective networks and developing trusted relationships
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of risk management with experience of ensuring own/others’ compliance with policies and relevant regulatory processes
