Responsibilities
- Design and implement investment strategies for leveraged loans and high‑yield bonds, ensuring optimal risk‑adjusted returns within the fund’s mandate
- Manage exposures across CLOs and loan accounts, considering liquidity, credit quality, and sector diversification
- Conduct thorough credit analysis on potential investments, including reviewing financial statements, covenant structures, and market positioning
- Assess issuer risk and make recommendations based on creditworthiness and expected performance
- Execute buy and sell orders for leveraged loans and high‑yield bonds, maintaining appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines
- Monitor portfolio risk metrics, including exposure concentrations, ratings migration, and default probabilities; implement hedging strategies as needed and proactively manage risks associated with CLO structures and underlying assets
- Track portfolio performance, benchmark against relevant indices, and prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders and external investors; provide updates on market conditions, portfolio positioning, and anticipated changes
- Ensure all portfolio activities comply with applicable regulations, fund documentation, and internal policies; collaborate with compliance teams to maintain best practices and address regulatory changes
- Support investor communications, including responding to queries, preparing presentations, and participating in due diligence meetings; articulate fund strategy, performance, and outlook clearly and professionally
- Work closely with analysts, traders, operations, and risk teams to ensure seamless management of the portfolio; mentor junior team members and foster a culture of excellence and integrity
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in credit investing, with a focus on leveraged loans, high‑yield bonds, and structured products such as CLOs
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in credit modelling, scenario analysis, and financial statement review
- In‑depth understanding of loan documentation, covenants, and market practices in leveraged finance
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios and make investment decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging institutional investors
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements
- Degree in finance, economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA) preferred
- Decisive and commercially astute, with a strong sense of fiduciary responsibility
- Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams
- High ethical standards and commitment to transparency
- Adaptability to changing market conditions and regulatory environments
