Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self‑motivated Pharmacist to join our expanding Cancer and Technical Services team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
This role is part of the new Diagnostic, Treatment and Education Centre opening in Autumn, aimed at doubling chemotherapy patient capacity.
As a Specialist Pharmacist, you will provide high‑quality clinical pharmacy support to our oncology and haematology teams and contribute to the unlicensed aseptic unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a key role within the multidisciplinary team, delivering a patient‑focused pharmacy service to cancer patients.
- Contribute to the redesign of pharmacy workflows for the new Chemotherapy Day Unit and Technical Services Unit.
- Receive formal training and accreditation in the clinical screening of systemic anti‑cancer therapy (SACT).
- Support the day‑to‑day operational running of the unlicensed aseptic unit.
- Supervise rotational and trainee pharmacists, developing leadership skills.
- Drive improvements by participating in clinical guideline development, audits and quality improvement initiatives in medicines optimisation.
- Deliver clinical ward‑based duties as required.
- Participate in on‑call, weekend/bank holiday, lunch and late‑duty rotas.
