Overview
The post holder will be required to provide Technologist duties in the Nuclear Medicine Departments including imaging, i.v. and intra-dermal administration of radiopharmaceuticals and in‑vitro techniques on an ad‑hoc basis.
Working Hours
The department operates between 07:30 am and 20:00 pm and a working times directive compliant shift system operates between these hours. This will likely start earlier on the opening of the new Molecular Imaging Research Centre in which our new radiopharmacy facility will be housed.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess a BSc/HNC or equivalent in radiography, a science or health related subject and have completed competency based nuclear medicine training. Post qualification/radiopharmacy experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
The work is varied and demanding with an emphasis on accuracy, reliability and adaptability. The post holder will be able to prioritise demanding workloads and work under their own initiative.
Teamwork and Communication
The post holder will be a key member of the Nuclear Medicine Team and will have direct contact with patients, medical, nursing and other staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are therefore essential.
