Workshop Manager (HGV PSV)

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Workshop Manager to join a busy PSV / HGV workshop in the Buckinghamshire area.

The successful candidate must hold an industry recognised qualification and ideally have a minimum of 1‑2 years’ experience in a similar role on Heavy Vehicles / HGV / PSV / PCV / Bus.

You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for bus or truck.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that all staff within the garage fully understand and comply with company and statutory requirements in terms of Health & Safety and operating procedures.
• Ensure that the depot peak vehicle requirement is achieved on a daily basis and that all vehicles supplied for service are maintained to a high standard that exceeds statutory requirements.
• Handle the maintenance, health, safety and environmental impact of company premises and ensure legislative compliance.

Qualifications

• Industry recognised qualification.
• Minimum 1‑2 years’ experience in a similar role on Heavy Vehicles / HGV / PSV / PCV / Bus.
• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for bus or truck.
• Previous experience working in a busy Truck or Bus workshop garage is essential.
