Role InformationQuality Assurance EngineerSalary up to £32,000 DOEMerthyr Tydfil South WalesOnsite roleStarting October 2026Why join Marshall Land Systems in this role:The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet defined quality standards and customer requirements across the production lifecycle.Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams, the role drives quality compliance, supports continuous improvement, and ensures robust quality systems are implemented and maintained to support safe, efficient, and right-first-time delivery.Your responsibilities in this role include:Ensure compliance with all quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements across production operationsSupport the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)Conduct internal audits and support external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance at all timesInvestigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Work closely with Production teams to ensure adherence to quality processes and standards on the shopfloorCollaborate with Engineering to ensure effective transition of designs into production, with quality built into processesSupport inspection and testing activities, ensuring products meet required specifications and customer expectationsAnalyse quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support decisionDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and wasteEnsure all quality documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to dateSupport supplier quality activities where required, including evaluation and performance monitoringPromote a strong quality culture across the site, ensuring accountability and awareness at all levelsApply if you have most of the following;Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationWorking knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance requirementsTechnical skills/qualifications:Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa)Knowledge of inspection and testing methods within a manufacturing environmentAbility to analyse and interpret quality and production dataFamiliarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationWorking knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance requirementsAdditional local needs:Onsite roleSuccessful candidate will need to complete BPSS checksThe benefits for this role are:Opportunity to develop into senior Quality Engineering or Quality Management rolesExposure to cross-functional operations, including Production, Engineering, and Supply ChainInvolvement in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiativesPotential progression into broader operational or technical leadership roleMarshall Land Systems is a Canadian-owned global company with an unrivalled pedigree of British engineering excellence.
