Geography Teacher / Geography ECT

In the heart of Barking & Dagenham, a high-achieving Secondary School is looking for an ambitious Geography Teacher / ECT to join in September 2026. This role is permanent and full-time.

Salary: GBP 38,870 – 58,000 per annum.

Job Description

  • Inspire and motivate students across KS3‑KS5.
  • Collaborate with a team of Geography teachers.
  • Deliver engaging and high‑quality Geography lessons.
  • Participate in the bespoke ECT induction programme, receive 1:1 mentoring, and attend in‑house and out‑of‑house training.
  • Use progressive teaching methods to support student progress.

Person Specification

  • UK QTS or in the process of gaining it.
  • Strong academic background – degree, A‑levels and GCSEs.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve the 8 teaching standards at a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a large team of Geography teachers.
  • Openness to feedback and committed to professional development.
