What is the job role?

As a Children and Family Worker within the Help and Protection Service, you will work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. You will be a key person within the multi‑agency network, offering essential support services, advice, training, and strategies to help children and families. You will work in partnership and empower children and their families to sustain positive behavioural changes.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

You will need to be confident in communicating with children, families, professionals, and individuals from other agencies to gather relevant information and plan strategies of support for children and their families.

You will need to be able to manage your own diary as well as effectively communicate and work with the team around a child to improve outcomes for children and families.
