Job Summary
Ernest Jackson & Co Ltd exists to deliver the best tasting healthcare products to consumers. Unique to Mondelēz International, the company has a locally managed Research & Development function whose goal is to develop the right healthcare products to meet consumer needs and enable a competitive edge for the business. This role is responsible for the scientific exploration, development, and realization of products, processes, and technologies. Working as part of a cross‑functional team, you will deliver RDQ activities required to complete new product development, portfolio maintenance, and productivity projects with an emphasis on meeting the desired consumer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver product development projects for new and existing products from brief to first production.
- Work cross‑functionally with all parts of the business as a technical resource, issuing reports, statements, and assisting with issue resolution.
- Work in an organized and autonomous manner within tight deadlines to ensure key deliverables are met.
- Maintain momentum and progress on multiple pieces of work at any one time.
- Understand, manage, and escalate risk where relevant, and advise the business on risk with clear recommendations that allow decisive action.
- Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring clarity and appropriate level of detail in verbal and written communication.
- Coach others on delivering clear, detailed messages.
- Continuously develop knowledge of key nutritional and licensed medicine landscape themes and discuss development needs with your line manager.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Pharmacy or equivalent development experience.
- Working knowledge of food regulatory environments.
- Technical skills and knowledge, continuous learning and improvement mindset including application of statistical analysis to datasets.
- Product development experience: delivering product developments from concept to marketplace, meeting supply chain requirements (preferred).
- Process development experience: introducing new or improved processes including equipment trials and scale‑up challenges (preferred).
- Ability to work on teams and independently under guidance.
- Strong prioritization and activity management skills.
- Proactive problem identification and independent solution implementation.
- Effective verbal and written communication, including technical writing.
