Recruitment and Onboarding Officer
Grade E £28,071 – £32,613 pro‑rated
Fixed Term 12 months, Part Time – 14.8 hours Wed, Thu, Fri.
Minimum: CIPD Level 3 qualified. Working towards or willing to work towards.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Recruitment and Onboarding Manager, you will provide a centralised recruitment and onboarding service, supporting line managers and delivering excellent customer service to applicants. You will be involved in both individual and bulk 360 recruitment, working with a range of stakeholders across Staffordshire Police. You will manage candidates from application through initial onboarding, including shortlisting, arranging appointments, pre‑enrolment events, interviews and assessment centres. You will operate in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment, demonstrating initiative and a common‑sense approach, extensive knowledge of recruitment processes and legislation, excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Centralised recruitment and onboarding support to line managers.
- Manage recruitment cycles from application to onboarding.
- Shortlist applications and arrange appointments.
- Coordinate pre‑enrolment events, interviews and assessment centres.
- Provide guidance and excellent customer service to applicants.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organisation.
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3 qualification (or undertaking the qualification).
- Experience in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced recruitment environment.
- Extensive knowledge of recruitment processes and legislation.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational and multi‑tasking abilities.

Residency Eligibility
