Position Overview
Designated Safeguarding Lead – responsible for safeguarding, wellbeing and child protection within the school.
Salary and Benefits
Up to £45,091 plus excellent benefits including training, full school holidays, flexible benefits, wellbeing tools, medical cover and a contributory pension scheme matched up to 5 %.
Responsibilities
- Lead safeguarding activities within the school.
- Liaise daily with statutory and non‑statutory agencies, parents/carers and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protection and safeguarding.
- Provide source of support, advice and expertise to the team.
- Collaborate with the wider Witherslack Group team across locations to develop skills and knowledge.
- Support team members with safeguarding and child protection practices.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- Comprehensive portfolio of CPD related to safeguarding and child protection.
- Outstanding interpersonal and problem‑resolution skills.
- Genuinely empathetic approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
