Senior finance recruiter within the Financial Services and Funds space
We’re partnering with a unique and nationally significant reinsurer to appoint a Head of Investments – a newly created, high-impact leadership role with real strategic influence.
With over £7bn AUM and a diversified portfolio spanning traditional asset managers (e.g. JP, BlackRock etc..) and venture capital allocations, this is a rare opportunity to shape the investment direction of a business that plays a critical role in the UK’s financial resilience.
The Opportunity:
- Full ownership of the investment strategy, from design to execution.
- Oversight of external investment managers and performance governance.
- The autonomy to influence the executive team, drive change, and build out your own team.

About You
- A senior investment professional with experience in insurance, reinsurance, asset management, or institutional investing.
- Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred, though a background in Life insurance is equally valued.
- Either a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a qualified actuary or equivalent
- Proven track record in portfolio strategy, manager oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
- Comfortable operating at board and executive level, with the credibility to shape long-term capital strategy.
